- Clinical Members
Psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, pastoral counselors, creative arts therapists, alcohol and drug abuse counselors, and school psychologists who either (a) hold a CGP; or (b) have a Master’s degree, licensure, and 300 hours of group psychotherapy experience as a responsible therapist or co-therapist, with a minimum of 75 hours of qualified group psychotherapy supervision.
- Associate Members
Professionals who hold a Master’s degree or higher in the area of a mental health field.
- Affiliate Members
Individuals who are interested in the practice and development of group psychotherapy.
- Student Members
Individuals matriculated in recognized graduate degree or residency programs or individuals with a Master's degree enrolled in certificate-granting post-graduate programs in the mental health professions.
- Life Members
Individuals who have been Clinical Members in good standing for 15 years and have reached the age of 65.
- Honorary Members
Individuals who have rendered distinguished service to IGPS or to the development of group psychotherapy.
- Retired Mental Health Professionals
